Early Morning Walks Lead to the Best Light on the Mountains

Lately I have been waking up early. So, I decided to take advantage of the extra time and walk to a local park with a beach along the Puget Sound. Having the park essentially to myself for awhile I scout around ultimately finding a composition looking across the water to the Olympic Mountain.

After taking a few test images and confirming my settings I wait for the sun to light up the snow covered peaks. What I may have enjoyed even more than the image I was able to capture was the calm the morning brought and the peace of the scene. I could have stayed longer but I got hungry and had chores to do at home.
