Staying Local | Discovery Park

Today I travel to another local park for some outside time in the sun and in exploration of more compositions. I really enjoyed feeling the sun on my face, seeing the salmonberry bushes in bloom and being visited by a heron. When I reached the furthest point west where there is a lighthouse I have visited many times before, I am greeted by dark clouds as a new storm system begins to move in.

I am able to capture a panorama image looking out across the bay with the lighthouse standing vigilant against the mounting storm. At home I compose and edit the image to where I am happy and ultimately print it. There is something about this image that I really like but also something that just doesn’t sit right. I will continue to look the composition over and share with you what I find as it comes to me.
